DANCE TEACHER

Experience:

Dance has always been a huge part of my life. At the age of six, I began dancing at Gwenda Britten Dance Academy where I completed RAD and ISTD ballet and ISTD modern. I also had training with Carryne Algie.  

At 19, I went to International Ballet Academy in Christchurch where I did a Diploma in Dance Performance in Ballet and Contemporary. I was taught by Sherilyn Kennedy, Carl Myers and Russel Kerr. I have performed in many shows over the years, a couple of favourites being Swan Lake and Phantom of the Opera.

I have been dancing at Dean’s studio over the past 20 years while raising my four boys. I love the vibe of this studio and the community here. I am looking forward to teaching ballet this year at Red Star Dance.
